Neijiang's first industry

In 2019, the sown area of grain crops in Neijiang is 309600 ha, an increase of 0.3% over the previous year; the sown area of oil crops is 79900 ha, an increase of 0.4%; and the sown area of vegetables is 78100 ha, an increase of 2.3%. The total grain output of the whole year was 1.775 million tons, which was basically the same as that of the previous year, of which the grain output in spring decreased by 0.1%. Among the economic crops, the oil production was 173000 tons, an increase of 1.8%; the vegetable output was 3.1387 million tons, an increase of 4.3%; the garden fruit output was 429100 tons, an increase of 5.9%.

In 2019, there were 1.7642 million live pigs in Neijiang, a decrease of 32.1% over the previous year, and 34.5896 million poultry, an increase of 28.3%. The area of aquaculture was 9300 hectares, an increase of 1.0% over the previous year; the output of aquatic products was 121200 tons, an increase of 3.3%

In 2019, the afforestation area of key projects in Neijiang City is 733.33 hectares, and the forest area of Neijiang City is 174900 hectares, with the forest coverage rate of 32.48%. In the whole year, the new effective irrigation area of farmland was 0.27 thousand hectares, and the new water-saving irrigation area was 0.11 thousand hectares; the effective irrigation area at the end of the year was 134.86 thousand hectares, which consolidated and improved the safe drinking water supply in rural areas, benefiting 39100 people; and the newly increased area of comprehensive control of soil and water loss was 84600 hectares. By the end of the year, the total power of agricultural machinery was 2.3512 million kilowatts, with an increase of 90000 kilowatts.
