Hydrology of Neijiang River
Tuojiang River is the main river in the urban area. It flows through Zizhong, Dongxing and Shizhong District. It is the main waterway transportation route in the city. Since ancient times, there has been a busy scene description of "boats of ten thousand trees sailing like wind". The average annual flow is 375 m3 / s, the natural drop is 135.5 m, the average gradient is 0.45%, and the water energy reserve is 145000 kW for development. The larger tributaries are Qiuxi River in Zizhong and Daqing River in Neijiang River. These rivers benefit from irrigation, shipping and power generation. Combined with the water energy resources of Tuojiang River, the annual power generation can reach 920 million kwh.
