In 2018, Guangyuan City achieved 31 major scientific and technological achievements throughout the year, and 1466 patents were applied, including 288 inventions and 931 authorized patents. 84 technical contracts were registered, and the transaction value of technology contracts was 28.25 million yuan. 94 provincial science and technology projects and 102 Municipal Science and technology projects were newly organized and implemented. By the end of the year, there were 79 National Science and technology small and medium-sized enterprises, 39 national high-tech enterprises, 1 national high-tech industrialization base, 4 provincial characteristic high-tech industrialization bases, 1 provincial key laboratory, 1 provincial engineering technology research center, 4 municipal industrial technology research institutes and 77 municipal engineering technology research centers. There are 10 National Star innovation centers, 1 provincial maker space and 4 provincial technology business incubators.
