General situation of Chengdu Giant Panda Base
Organization
According to the information on the base's official website in May 2017, Chengdu Research Base for giant panda breeding implements a three-level management mode of "Director Office Department (Center) - team". The director's office has 5 leading posts, including 1 Director and 4 deputy directors (including Deputy Secretary). Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base consists of five departments, namely: General Secretary Department, animal feeding and management department, animal disease prevention and control department, animal protection research center and Dujiangyan wild release breeding research center.

According to the information on the base's official website in May 2017, Chengdu Research Base of giant panda breeding has successively won the awards of "top 500 in the world" issued by the United Nations Environment Program, the "Gold Award of China Green Science and technology", "national excellent project of comprehensive environmental management", "top 100 green advanced units in Sichuan Province" and "National Science and technology education demonstration base".
