Yin and yang

Yin Yang is a simple and extensive Chinese ancient philosophy.

There are three characteristics of yin yang philosophy: unity, opposition and interaction. In thinking, it is an inseparable node of arithmetic and divination. Genes in nature and binary in artificial intelligence fully demonstrate the vitality of yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang are the descriptions of the fundamental factors behind the laws of nature in ancient Chinese civilization, which promote the development and change of the laws of nature. They are the motive force for the nurture, development, maturity, decline and death of all kinds of things, and the core elements for laying the logical thinking foundation of Chinese civilization. Generally speaking, according to the understanding of Yi-ology thinking, it describes the most basic elements of the universe and their role, and is one of the basic concepts of Fu Xiyi.

There are four pairs of relations between yin and Yang: Yin Yang interaction, Yin Yang conversion, yin and Yang opposition, yin and Yang root.

In traditional view, yin and Yang represent the most basic antagonistic relationship of all things. It is the objective law of nature, the origin of the movement and change of all things, and the basic law of human understanding of things. The concept of Yin and Yang originated from the view of nature of the ancient Chinese people. The ancients observed various natural phenomena, such as heaven and earth, sun and moon, day and night, cold and heat, men and women, upper and lower, which were opposite and interrelated in nature. They summed up the concept of Yin and Yang in a philosophical way.

Relationship between yin and Yang

The relationship between Yin and Yang in the Eight Diagrams can be divided into such groups as the Yin and Yang of the universe, the Yin and Yang of the earth, the Yin and Yang of the earthquake, and the Yin and Yang of the ridge. Although these belong to yin yang relationship, they are different from each other. Specifically, there are the following parts:

The interrelation between yin and Yang in the universe is that the two sides exist because of each other's existence. Popularly speaking, it is the concept of the earth that has the concept of heaven above the earth. On the contrary, heaven means heaven on earth. Without this day, there will be no corresponding place. Heaven exists because of the existence of the earth. It exists because of the existence of heaven.

Yin and Yang are the relations of fostering. Here, fostering refers to the ability to produce, nurture and create new things. The interaction between Gen and two hexagram will produce new things. From the point of view of Fu Xiyi's theory, we compare the position of the circle chart in Fu Xitian's Sixty-Four Diagrams Diagram Diagram to the southeast and northwest of the Palace. This position coincides with the geographical environment of this land in China. From the point of view of the Central Plains, the southeast is the sea, the northwest is the plateau, the southeast is the casual palace, and the northwest is the Geng palace, which coincides with the law revealed in Fuxi's Sixty-Four Diagrams Diagram, which is why the people nurtured on the land of China have incomparable creativity and courage and wisdom to overcome all difficulties. Hui, so that the Chinese nation has lived for at least six thousand years. It is also because of the Yin and Yang function of Geng Dui that new discoveries, inventions and creations are constantly emerging in China, which can exist and develop forever, adapt to the changes of the times and stand on the tides bravely. These are manifestations of fertility. "Man" outstanding "earth" spirit is not a false word, it contains rich connotations, people and the earth will be mutual induction.

The same root of the relationship between Yin and Yang in the earthquake refers to the same origin, that is, the two hexagrams in the earthquake originated from the meaning of the earthquake hexagram.

The antagonism between yin and Yang in Kan Li is the opposite of the two functions. These two opposite effects have different effects on the other side externally and on the other side internally.

Thus, the Yin and Yang properties of eight diagrams are not exactly the same. We can't talk about Yin and Yang, but only the one-sided concept of the opposition between Yin and Yang. We should pay attention to different treatment, abide by the commonness and distinguish the differences. The application is wonderful.

Ancient Chinese philosophers believed that (Yin and Yang) "the two rivers sympathize with each other and transform all things" (Zhou Dunyi's Taiji Tu Shuo of Song Dynasty). The transformation of all things originated from the interaction between Yin and Yang. This philosophical thought originated from the pre-Qin schools, such as Xunzi Li Ji, which said, "Heaven and earth are born while all things are born, Yin and Yang are changed in succession." He also said that "the sense of heaven and earth is the metamorphosis of all things" and pointed out that the Yin-Yang sympathy is the change and fundamental condition of the metamorphosis of all things, in which "combination", "connection", "induction" and so on all have interaction and mutual influence. It can be said that the interaction between the universe and the Yin and Yang is the beginning of the creation and change of all things.

In the universe, the law of the formation of things is also true. The sunshine of the sky falls, the earth's sunshine rises, and the two sunshine streams sympathize with each other, creating everything, and forming rain and fog, thunder and lightning, rain and dew, sunshine and air, sympathizing with each other, so that life can be produced. Therefore, without the sympathetic movement of Yin Yang and two, there would be no natural world and no life. It can be seen that yin and yang are the basic conditions for life activities.

The opposition between yin and Yang refers to the existence of two opposite aspects of yin and Yang in all things or phenomena in the world, such as above and below, heaven and earth, movement and quiet, ascending and descending, etc. The ascending and descending of Yin belong to yang, Yin belong to subordinate, Yin belong to heaven and Yang belong to earth, Yin belong to Yang belong to motion and Yin belong to Yin belong to ascending and descending. The opposite Yin and Yang are interdependent, and neither side can exist alone without the other. If the top is Yang, the bottom is Yin, and if there is no top, there is no bottom; if the heat is Yang, the cold is Yin, and if there is no cold, there is no heat. So it can be said that Yang depends on Yin, Yin depends on Yang, and each side has its own conditions of existence with the existence of the other side, which is the mutual inductance between Yin and Yang.

Yin Yang theory in the Warring States period is an important branch of all schools of thought. Yin and yang are a pair of categories of ancient Chinese philosophy. The original meaning of Yin and Yang is very simple. It means that the sunshine is towards the back, toward the sun, toward the sun, and back to the sun. Later, it is extended to the warmth of the climate, the ups and downs of the orientation, the left and right, the inside and outside, the restlessness and tranquility of the movement state, etc. Ancient Chinese philosophers further realized that all phenomena in nature had opposite and interactive relations. They used the concept of Yin and Yang to explain the two opposing and mutually increasing material forces in nature. They believed that the opposition and growth of Yin and Yang were inherent in things themselves, and then they thought that the opposition of Yin and Yang was inherent in things. Standing and growth are the basic laws of the universe.

According to the theory of Yin and Yang, everything in nature includes two opposite aspects of Yin and Yang, and the opposite sides are unified. The movement of the unity of opposites between yin and Yang is the fundamental reason for the occurrence, development, change and extinction of everything in nature. As the "Su Wen Yin Yang Ying Xiang Dalun" said, "Yin Yang, the way of heaven and earth, the outline of all things, the parents of change, the origin of life and death." Therefore, the law of the movement of the unity of opposites between yin and Yang is the inherent law of the movement of all things in nature, and the world itself is the result of the movement of the unity of opposites between yin and yang.

The theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements is a simple dialectical thought in ancient China. The world breeds, develops and changes under the impetus of Yin-Yang and Qi, and the five elements of wood, fire, earth, gold and water are its basic relations of change. The five elements support each other, restrict each other, and are in constant movement and change. This theory had a profound influence on later ancient philosophy, such as ancient astronomy, meteorology, chemistry, arithmetic, music and medicine, which were developed with the help of the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements.

Yin and Yang can not only express the opposite things, but also can be used to analyze the two opposite aspects of a thing. Generally speaking, those who are vigorously exercising, extroverted, rising, warm and bright belong to Yang; those who are relatively static, insistent, falling, cold and dark belong to Yin. As far as heaven and earth are concerned, the weather is light and clear, the air is heavy and turbid, and the water is cold and moist, while the fire is hot and inflammation is yang.

Anything can be divided by the attributes of Yin and Yang, but it must be aimed at a pair of interrelated things, or two aspects of a thing, in order to have practical significance. If the two things analyzed are not related to each other, or are not the two opposite aspects of the unity, we can not distinguish the relative attributes of Yin and Yang and their mutual relations.

The Yin and Yang attribute of things is not absolute, but relative. On the one hand, this relativity manifests itself in the mutual transformation between Yin and Yang under certain conditions, that is, Yin can be transformed into Yang, and Yang can also be transformed into Yin. On the other hand, it is embodied in the infinite separability of things.

The basic contents of Yin-Yang theory include the opposition between Yin and Yang, the mutual root of Yin and Yang, the growth and decline of Yin and Yang, and the transformation of Yin and Yang.

In the theoretical system of Chinese medicine, Yin Yang theory is everywhere. Yin-yang theory is used to explain the structure, physiological function and pathological changes of human body, and to guide the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
