Mountain Yuntai

Yuntai Mountain is a world geological park, national AAAAA-class tourist attraction and national scenic spot, located at the junction of Xiuwu County in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province and Lingchuan County in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. The area of the scenic spot is 280 square kilometers, including Hongshi Gorge, Tan Waterfall Gorge, Quanwaterfall Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Fenglin Gorge, Ovary Lake, Juyu Peak and Rhesus Monkey Valley. The main attractions are Diecai cave and Bai Jia Yan.

The topography of the park is complex, and the climate varies with altitude and mountain topography. Primitive secondary forests cover the whole mountain range. There are more than 500 kinds of trees and exotic flowers and herbs. The main peak of Yuntai Mountain, Dogwoo Peak, is 1308 meters above sea level, with a 314-meter drop of Yuntai Tianwaterfall. At the end of the scenic spot, the Spring Waterfall Gorge is one of the greatest falls found in China.

There are abundant geological relics in the park, and Archean, Proterozoic, Paleozoic and Cenozoic strata have been formed in the past 3 billion years. Several tectonic movements, especially in the past 23 million years, resulted in the strong uplift of neotectonic movement and the deep cutting of water erosion, resulting in the confrontation between the two cliffs of Yuntai Mountain and various dynamic waterfalls, springs and streams. And Tan together constitute the landscape of Yuntai landform.

Henan province is located in the territory of Yuntai Mountain from the provincial capital Zhengzhou 70 kilometers northwest of the city of Jiaozuo Xiuwu County, the total area of 280 square kilometers.

The climate of Yuntai Mountain is cool and pleasant, and the scenic area is a warm temperate continental monsoon climate. It is dry and windy in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool in autumn and cold in winter. Geological and geomorphology

Yuntai Mountain in ancient times is a world of waters, with the passage of the century, changes in the earth's crust, gradually rises, the formation of plain elevation. In the period of orogeny billions of years ago (Ordovician and Sinian), great changes have taken place in landscape. During the Yanshan period, the North rises, forming high mountains, and the South falls, forming plains. The influence of Himalayan orogeny, and the mountain has been rising, the river quickly cut, and the formation of deep and steep valleys. Subsequently, surface and underground fissures along the rock dissolution effect, plus other weathering stress, resulting in today's mountain, stone shape.

The Yunmengshan Formation-Upper Carboniferous Taiyuan Formation of the Middle Proterozoic Jixian System has a complete outcropping system from about 1.4 billion to 300 million years ago, and the Archaean-Early Proterozoic basement, as well as typical structural relics, such as the Archaean gneiss complex basement, the basement of the Early Proterozoic supercrust, the basement of the remote dome structure, the overlap structure of the caprock, and the ductility. Structures of shear zone, ductile-brittle deformation, brittle fracture, single-sided mountain, collapse and landslide in caprock, etc. The special tectonic position and lithologic condition make the water body and hydrodynamic action in the park develop very well. The formed waterfalls, streams and river travertine terraces, travertine waterfalls and travertine beaches represent the characteristics of karst in northern China and are a beautiful landscape. In particular, the remains of the neotectonic movement are very typical throughout the park.

In April 2006, Yuntai Mountain held the first special session of Yuntai Mountain tourism products in Seoul, South Korea.

In 2012, Yuntai Mountain scenic spot received more than 504 tourists, and realized the ticket revenue of 450 million yuan.

By the end of 2012, Thailand, South Korea, Taipei City, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Beijing, Wuhan, Dalian and Harbin of Taiwan Province of China had opened "Yuntai Mountain Tourist Train", "Yuntai Mountain" and "Shennong Mountain" charter flights. Among them, 38 "Yuntai Mountain" series tourism special columns from Beijing to Jiaozuo, 11 "Yuntai Mountain" series tourism special columns from Wuhan to Jiaozuo, 15 "Shennong Mountain" series charter flights from Shanghai to Jiaozuo.

In March 2013, Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area officially set up "Yuntai Mountain Office in South Korea, Jiaozuo, Henan Province, China" in Mapu District, Seoul, Korea, which is the first overseas office set up in China's tourist attractions.

In April 2013, under the Hong Kong Education Bureau's National Education Support Program, the "Peer-to-Peer" Hong Kong Senior High School Exchange Program in the Mainland, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Education Bureau Superintendent Xu Yongkang led the 100th Anniversary of Hong Kong Tsuen Wan Official Secondary School, Baptist Church Lui Mingcai Secondary School Sao Paulo College, Liao Baoshan Memorial College and Po Leung Kuk. A total of 329 high school students from Zhaozhong Memorial Middle School, Notre Dame Rose Hall College, Huangren College, Yuen Long District Middle School, Sha Tin Official Middle School and Deng Zhaojian Victoria Official Middle School approached the Yuntai Mountains and Rivers.

In April 2013, the Acqua reale - Cinese di Henan Jiaozuo Yuntai Photography Exhibition was held at the Lifeli Museum of Culture and Art in Milan, Italy. By July 2013, Beijing University, Beijing Normal University, China University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences, Central University for Nationalities, Henan University, Beijing Second Institute of Foreign Languages, Zhengzhou University, etc. have established MTA / MBA industrial practice bases in Yuntai Mountain.

The National Tourism Administration and the People's Government of Henan Province jointly hold the "China Yuntai Mountain International Tourism Festival" every two years, and have successfully held nine sessions so far. More than 60 envoys from different countries have visited China, which is an important window festival for China to display the development of tourism industry.

"The Empire of the Qin Dynasty", "The Legend of Competing for Hegemony", "Ma Ming Feng Xiao", "The Great Story of Sun Tzu" and many other films and TV plays were filmed in Yuntai Mountain.
