Zhang Yifei, born in 1964 in Yanshou County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is a director and screenwriter in mainland China. He graduated from the director training class of Beijing Film Academy.

In 1990, he wrote and directed his first TV play cultural circle. In 1993, he co directed the historical film "Chongqing negotiation" with Li Qiankuan and Xiao Guiyun, which won the best film award of the 17th popular film Hundred Flowers Award and the "five one project" of the 2nd Central Propaganda Department.
