Shi Xiaming is a 98 year old graduate of Kunqu Opera class of Jiangsu Provincial theater school. He is a Gongjin student. He has studied under Shi Xiaomei, Qian Zhenrong, Wang Bin, Yue Meiti and other Kunqu artists. In 2006, Jiangsu Kunju theater rearranged the drama "1699 Peach Blossom Fan", directed by Tian Qinxin, a famous drama director, and Shi Xiaming was selected to play the leading role Hou Fangyu. Early experience

After graduating from the theater school, Shi Xiaming entered Jiangsu Kunju theater and became the fourth generation actor of the theater.

Among the seven Kunqu troupes in China, Jiangsu Kunqu Opera Theater has the largest number of performances per year, reaching more than 600. After Shi Xiaming won the role of Jia Baoyu in the national draft of Red Mansions, beikun had a special liking for him. He was invited to play the No.1 role in the new drama Dong Xiaowan. Different types of characters enrich Shi's performance experience. The style of beikun is different from that of Shengkun, which is famous for the style of Nankun.
