Early experience

After graduating from Boyun middle school, Huang Jiaju worked as an office assistant, a TV set designer, a salesman, etc. At the age of 17, Huang Jiaju picked up a wooden guitar when his neighbor moved, which was his first musical instrument. Once he went to an underground band and was humiliated by the lead guitarist. After that, he began to practice his guitar.

In the early 1980s, Huang Jiaju was introduced to Ye Shirong and found that they had similar interests in music. Huang Jiaju, ye Shirong and their two friends Deng Weiqian and Li Rongchao formed a band for music exchange. Acting experience

In 1983, beyond band was formally established. Huang Jiaju was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the band.
