Lin Yifu, born in Rushan County, Shandong Province in 1918, took part in the revolutionary activities in 1936, joined the vanguard of the Chinese national liberation in February 1937, and joined the Communist Party of China in January 1938.

He once served as director of Jiaodong National Defense Education Commission, leader of the "democratic first" team of Jiaodong Third Military and political school, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee of Jiaodong Third Military and political school, member of Muping County CPC Committee, Minister of democratic movement, President of national salvation, Minister of propaganda of the county Party committee, etc.
Character experience
In the spring of 1944, he was transferred to Yantai by the Jiaodong district Party committee to be responsible for the establishment of the Yantai Special Zone Working Committee of the CPC. After the establishment of the CPC Yantai Working Committee, he served as secretary of the working committee and political commissar of Yantai armed forces. In January 1945, he was appointed director of Yantai administrative joint office. During the liberation of Yantai in August 1945, he participated in and led the armed uprising of workers in Yantai. After the liberation of Yantai, he served as member of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, director of the Secretariat, and director of the United Front Work Department. In April 1949, he was transferred to work in Qingdao. He once served as secretary director of the Qingdao Municipal military control commission, Secretary director of the Qingdao municipal government, vice director of the United Front Work Department and director of the communication department of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, member of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, and Minister of the Ministry of finance. In 1956, he was transferred to work in Beijing and successively served as the leader of the leading group, Secretary of the Party committee, deputy director of the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of the Department of capital construction of the National Bureau of statistics, deputy director of the planning department of the Ministry of light industry, director of the Second Light Industry Bureau, etc. He retired in 1982.
