Gu Minglun fell from a building and died. There are different opinions about the cause of his death. At that time, the "official statement" pointed out that Gu Minglun had many disputes with the director Liu Jiachang during the shooting process because of his performance in the film "the soul of Huangpu army"; in addition, after the film was released, the Ministry of national defense awarded him a commendation from the sea, army and air force, but not to him. It was Liu Jiachang who withdrew him from the award list and committed suicide. Liu Jiachang went abroad immediately to avoid the wind.
