Tao Jin
Tao Jin (March 8, 1961 - August 25, 1997), formerly known as Tao jingsan, was born in Nanjing. His ancestral home is taojiazhuang, Chengan Town, Xinle City, Hebei Province. He is a Chinese dancer.
Early experience
Tao Jin suffered from "chicken breast" when he was a child. With his own efforts and the help of a teacher surnamed sun, he was able to recover. Once studied in Nanjing No.9 middle school. In 1980, Beijing Dance Academy enrolled the first undergraduate students, and Tao Jin became the only non professional Chinese classical dance education major. After graduation, he was assigned to the dance department of the PLA Academy of art as a teacher. When he was a teacher, Tao Jin's students won the Junior Champion and runner up of the first "taoli cup" dance competition in China. At the age of 24, Tao Jin became the youngest judge of the competition, won the title of excellent teacher and the third class merit, and won the "second prize of excellent actor" in the dance competition of the whole army.
The film rock youth, which was choreographed by him and acted as the leading actor, has received great repercussions throughout the country, especially among young people. In the film, his passionate and wild dance left a deep impression on the audience. At that time, the media called him "Prince of thunderbolt".
On August 25, 1997, Tao Jin died of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma at the age of 36.

Tao Jin won the gold cup award in the first Beijing disco dance competition. In the Royal International Standard Dance examination, she won the silver award of international standard dance, Latin dance and teacher's honorary certificate together with her wife Zhao Liping.

In 1985, Liu Yiran, a young writer, wrote the novel rock youth based on Tao Jin's personal experience. In order to realize his dream of dancing, Tao Jin decided to shoot a Chinese "Thunderbolt dance" based on the novel, and Liu Yiran immediately expressed his support. After the arduous efforts of Tao Jin, with the joining of Director Tian Zhuangzhuang, the cast was soon established. But before shooting, they met a new problem, that is, they couldn't find a suitable heroine, because the actress who plays with Tao Jin has to be able to act as well as dance. In the end, Tao Jin chose Ma Ling, his younger martial sister in Beijing Dance Academy, but this partner he personally selected at that time thought that this kind of dance was easy to be considered "indecent" and did not accept the so-called break dance.
At the insistence of Tao Jin and others, in 1988, rock youth, which invested 600000 yuan to shoot, was released nationwide, reaching a box office of 3 million yuan.
Tao Jin didn't expect the film to be a great success. To her surprise, Ma Ling won the best actress nomination at the Chinese film Hundred Flowers Award.
Tao Jin overnight became the leading role of the TV show all over the country, known as "China's Michael Jackson".
In 1989, Tao Jin appeared in CCTV Spring Festival gala for the first time. With his dance "jump up", his name entered thousands of households. Since then, Tao Jin, as a popular dancer, has been active on the Chinese stage.
