Early experience
Zhang Guoqiang was born in a pear garden family in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. In 1986, at the suggestion of his father Zhang Haifeng, 17-year-old Zhang Guoqiang was admitted to the drama performance class of Jiamusi branch of Heilongjiang art school. Zhang Haifeng thinks that his son is more intelligent in drama performance, and it's easy to find a job after graduation, so he helped him make this choice. In 1989, 20-year-old Zhang Guoqiang completed his studies and was assigned to Jiamusi drama company as an actor, starting his own acting career.
Acting experience
In 1990, Zhang Guoqiang, who had just been working for a short time, took part in a single TV play after the smoke of gunpowder, playing the son of an anonymous hero fighting to resist US aggression and aid Korea.
In 1992, Zhang Guoqiang shuttled between TV stations and singing halls as a guest host and accompaniment for others.

In 1998, he took part in the TV series "it's hard to say goodbye after breaking up" by Zhao Guangyuan, a well-known investor in Heilongjiang Province.
