detailed information
The so-called "four kings" are the collective names of the four landscape painters Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, Wang Hui and Wang Yuanqi in the early Qing Dynasty. Among them, Wang Shimin, Wang Jian and Wang Yuanqi are from Taicang, and Wang Hui is from Changshu. Influenced by Dong Qichang, he copied a lot of paintings of song, yuan and Ming Dynasty. Among the "four kings", Wang Yuanqi is the youngest and the most successful. Because he is from Taicang, Jiangsu Province (also known as Loudong), he is called "Loudong painting school". At that time, the Loudong painting school was so powerful that it was admired by later generations.
Wang Yu is the younger brother of Wang Yuanqi, and his understanding of painting also comes from Wang Yuanqi. It is mentioned in Dong Zhuang Lun Hua that although painting is a kind of art, there is a way in it. If you look at the authentic works of the ancients, what kind of composition, what kind of strength, what kind of spirit "The ancient brush is beautiful, the ink is flying, the vitality is dripping, and the color of the lanrong river is real. It should be noted that this kind of charm comes from the change of wind, rain, snow, clouds and smoke in the four seasons of the morning and evening. "Therefore," if you know that there is a famous mark, you can visit it all over the world and learn from it. When you visit famous mountains, you can feel more natural pictures, which can open up your mind, integrate natural hills and valleys, and gather all kinds of beauty, then you will become a famous pen. " It can be seen that from the height of "Tao", Wang Yu can understand the relationship between the traditional essence and the nature's isomorphic rhythm, so his paintings can not simply be based on the theory of "leaving life" and "mud and dirt", but should recognize his insight into the inner meaning of tradition and life.
