Early experience
Born in Jinan, Shandong Province, Su Yan grew up in the courtyard of Shandong Academy of Architectural Sciences. He studied in Wuyingshan primary school, No.11 middle school and later Jinan art middle school. He was admitted to the drama department of Shandong art college.
