Character events
In September 2015, the "Xiaosanmen" incident in the History Department of Fudan University caused a heated discussion. With the hot spread of a 13 page "fact sheet" by Xu, one of the parties and an associate professor of history department, and his wife's previous complaint, the incident became complicated. Fudan University is mediating between the two parties, according to a person familiar with the matter, who said on the 17th that Xu's visit was not for academic purposes, but for personal purposes. The "Xiaosanmen" incident originated from a letter uploaded to the BBS of Fudan University on September 10, 2015. Sheng, the author of the letter, accused his husband, Xu, an associate professor of history at Fudan University, of cheating in marriage, and pointed out that Qian, a colleague of his husband and a female teacher of Fudan history department, was a "junior". The letter details the process of their marriage and Xu's divorce, and Xu's attempt to achieve the goal of divorce by means of separation. The letter also mentioned: Xu and Qian applied for the visiting program in Japan at the same time, but this was not for academic purposes, but for cohabitation and other private purposes, which seriously damaged the original intention of the national fund selection. on September 13, 2015, a 13 page situation note written by Xu also appeared on the Internet. The statement refutes the complaints against his wife, Sheng, one by one, attributing their marital change to Sheng's way of treating his parents in law, and defending his own behavior, such as pointing out that Sheng's accusation that his application for the school visit project is for personal purposes is "to add crime" and so on. Xu said in the situation note that he would only respond to the investigation of Fudan history department, Fudan University and other relevant departments. It is understood that Xu and Qian have been visiting in Japan. According to people familiar with the matter at Fudan University, Sheng has previously reported the relevant situation to the college, and the school authorities have mediated the matter between the two parties; the school authorities and relevant units are investigating whether the application process of Xu and Qian's student visit project is compliant.
