Character evaluation
Shen Xiling insists on reflecting the social contradictions and class antagonism in real life through movies, revealing injustice by comparing the daily details of the gap between the rich and the poor, and arousing the public's awakening and resistance. In the aesthetic art, he pays attention to the dynamic lens, with the help of static splicing to make the picture more natural and smooth. He always cherished his loyalty and love for the motherland, adhered to the concept of progressive culture, used movies and plays to resist the cruel rule at that time, and used art forms to encourage the people to fight bravely. Thus formed a strong realism, patriotism and humanitarianism of the film style. Moreover, he pays special attention to the narrative function of screen pictures, relying on the lens language for performance. The use of a large number of mobile shooting equipment has changed the fixed pattern of single view shooting, and formed a continuous planar narrative story (review of contemporary film).
