Liu Xiasheng
Liu Xiasheng (1915-1978), comedian. Liu Xiaohua, whose real name is Liu Xiaohua, was born in Jiangdu, Jiangsu Province. At the age of 13, he came to Shanghai with his father to study in Tonghui primary school. Because of his family's difficulties, he dropped out of school and studied in Xianshi paradise troupe. Three years later, he went to hang Jia Hu area to perform. When he returned to Shanghai in 1935, he became more mature in art and made his debut in the city's amusement parks. He once played a role in the movie Sanmao Xueyi, and was favored by the film director Xie Jin. He was invited to play the first leading role in the comedy big Li, Xiao Li and Lao Li. During the "Cultural Revolution", he was criticized unfairly and rehabilitated. He died of cerebral hemorrhage due to his emotional speech at the meeting of criticizing the gang of four.
Life figures
In 1937, Liu Xiasheng went to Siam (now Thailand) and Annan (now Vietnam) to perform for half a year, and performed "funny drama" with civilized actors. After returning to China, he successively participated in the spirit troupes of Yi Fangshuo and Zhang Yeer, as well as the troupes of "union", "Golden Dragon" and "struggle". Liu Xiasheng was persecuted during the cultural revolution, and later he was rehabilitated. In 1978, at the invitation of Shanghai quyi troupe, he played the role of chef Zhuang in the farce "spring in the garden". During the rehearsal, he took part in the group's meeting to expose and criticize the gang of four. When he complained, he was too excited and fainted on the spot. He was sent to the hospital and died of severe cerebral hemorrhage.
In 1952, he joined the mass Comic Troupe and played the role of the shaver in Sanmao student's mind. His actions were free and easy, his expression was rich, his language was humorous and his rhythm was appropriate. He became famous and became popular with Wen Binbin.
