Early experience
In 1968, Bai Yansheng was born into a peasant family in Huanghua City, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. Bai Yansheng has been fond of opera since he just remembered, but his parents found that his son's hobby was not supported. Under the strong opposition of his parents, Bai Yansheng, who originally wanted to go to drama school, had to go to middle school.
In 1987, Bai Yansheng was admitted to Hebei University, and won many awards in the national and provincial speech contest.
Acting experience
In 1991, he graduated from the Chinese Department of Hebei University and assigned to Baoding TV station. Then he transferred to Hebei TV station and hosted various programs including news, economy, literature and art during his stay. In 1994, it was officially transferred to CCTV.
On January 1, 1996, he joined the drama and music channel of CCTV (renamed variety channel in December 2000) and served as the host of the drama program of the channel. In 1997, he released his personal album Bai Yansheng's Opera songs. In 1998, he and Liu Lu co hosted the eighth national young singers TV Grand Prix.
On July 29, 2002, he participated in the "national press North South Peking Opera show" and sang Cheng's representative work "suoling"; in October, he presided over the new year's Day Party of 15 provinces in China. On December 31, 2003, he presided over the finals of CCTV National Children's drama competition.
On January 21, 2004, he co hosted the CCTV Spring Festival drama evening with Jiang Kun, Zhou Tao, sun Xiaomei, Ju Ping and Shi Yi; in July, he released his personal music album "the sun and rain of a lifetime"; on September 19, 2004, he hosted the CCTV drama channel's Drama interview program "drama garden 100".

Personal life
In 1996, Bai Yansheng met Zhou Jia and finally got married. But Zhou is not a fan of the PLA's logistics department.
On July 16, 2005, Bai Yansheng and Zhou Jia's daughter, Baiguo, were born.
