Zhou Wei

Zhou Wei, male, Han nationality, born in January 1959, is a member of the Communist Party of China, born in Shangzhou, Shaanxi Province, and a doctoral candidate.

He is now the chief engineer of the Ministry of transport and director of the Policy Research Office (bureau level).

Biography of characters

In April 1998, he served as vice president of Xi'an University of highway and communications; in December 1999, he served as secretary of the Party committee and vice president of the Academy of Sciences of the Ministry of communications; in September 2001, he served as president and member of the Party committee of the Academy of Sciences of the Ministry of communications; in July 2008, he served as president and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the Academy of highway Sciences of the Ministry of transportation; in March 2015, he served as chief engineer (bureau level) of the Ministry of transportation; in August 2017, he was appointed as vice president of the Academy of highway Sciences of the Ministry of transportation Chief engineer of the Ministry of transport and director of the Policy Research Office (bureau level); chief engineer of the Ministry of transport (bureau level) in January 2019.

Division of work

Comrade Zhou Wei assisted the minister and vice minister in charge of the technical management of highway engineering. To guide the compilation and review of technical standards and specifications for highway engineering, to preside over the research and solution of major engineering and technical problems entrusted by the leaders of the Ministry, to guide the demonstration of major scientific research projects and major engineering and technology introduction projects, and to preside over the daily work of the expert committee of the Ministry.
