Deeds
Birthplace
In 2000, the ancestral home of Lin Feng, the forefather of Taiwan's "Lin Feng Ying" reclamation, was found in Kangmei village, Dongshan County.
The famous historian Lian Heng wrote in Volume 29 of the general history of Taiwan: "Lin Feng, a native of Longxi, Fujian Province, was the Minister of Yanping Prefecture, and came to Taiwan from then on. In the 15th year of Yongli (1661), he led his troops to tuntian in zengwenxi, and now Lin Fengying is also... " It has always been a mystery that Mr. Lian Heng failed to explain which Township and Village Lin Feng's ancestral home was.
In 2000, kangmeicun revised a new village genealogy, the annals of kangmeilin, edited by Lin Xiyuan, former deputy director of the county science and Technology Commission and kangmeiren. Lin Kuncheng, a retired worker of Kangmei village, provided some historical materials of Kangshan genealogy compiled in 1699 before it was burned in the "Cultural Revolution" and wrote the article "commemorating the 370th anniversary of the birth of Lin Feng, a pioneer official in the recovery of Taiwan". At the same time, Kang Mei villagers in Taiwan also provided conclusive information about Lin Feng. After repeated research and verification, and checking the village's remains, such as Lin Feng's former residence, Lin Feng's tomb, plaque and other cultural relics, we finally found the answer and solved the mystery.
According to the newly compiled biography of Lin Feng in the annals of Kang Mei Lin, Lin Feng (also known as Fengming and Fengming) was born on the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month in the second year of Chongzhen (1629) of the Ming Dynasty. He is the tenth grandson of the eighth patriarch of Kang Mei Lin, who is the nephew of Lin Rirui (Note: Lin Xuezi, the father of Lin Feng, is the ninth and Sheng Feng is the tenth). Lin Feng's biography is also recorded in Dongshan Lin's Chronicles.
Today's Kangmei village originally belonged to the Wudu Kangmei community in Zhaoan County, Longxi County, Fujian Province (later changed to Zhangzhou), so it is said that Lin Feng was from Longxi or Zhangzhou.
