Ma Xiaoying

Ma Xiaoying (February 9, 1908 - February 13, 1978), a famous actor, was born in Singapore. In Nanyang, he was the official of famous Cantonese opera. In his teens, he came to Hong Kong to join Ma Shizeng's "Taiping opera company". After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he became a film and TV actor. Representative works: demobilized tears, Niu Jingliang's havoc in Hong Kong, Jinfen aristocratic family, and concubine.

Profile

Ma Xiaoying (1908.02.09-1978.02.13) married Yi Qiushui, a famous comedian, and remarried Zhang zuokan, a film producer, after divorce. She had two sons and one daughter. Ma Xiaoying and Huang Manli, Li Zhuojiao, Li Qianping, Xu Yi, Ganlu, Zheng Wenxia, Li Yueqing, Rong Yuyi, Chen Pimei, Li Wen, Gao Weilan (Mrs. Luton) formed the "Twelve beauties". On February 9, 1978, the day of Ma Xiaoying's 70th birthday, who was also a famous Cantonese film actor of licorice, died of a heart attack in a hospital in Mei foo new estate, Kowloon. She was 70 years old. On February 13, 1978, a funeral was held at 2 p.m. at the Kowloon funeral home. The body was buried at the Cheung Sha Wan Catholic Cemetery in Kowloon.
