Gong Guoqiang
Gong Guoqiang was born in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province in 1962. He graduated from the Department of archaeology, Department of history, Nanjing University in 1984 and the Department of archaeology, Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2002 with a doctorate in history.
Character experience
Since 1984, he has worked in the Institute of archaeology, Chinese Academy of social sciences. He once served as the leader of the archaeological team in Xinjiang. Now he is an associate researcher and the leader of the archaeological team in Tangcheng, Xi'an. The main research direction is Han and Tang archaeology. He has successively participated in or presided over the archaeological investigation and excavation of some important sites in Beijing, Henan, Xinjiang and Shaanxi, and published dozens of archaeological briefs, papers and translations. He has visited the sites of ancient Buddhist temples in India, Pakistan and Japan. 、
