Kangding

Kangding (May 6, 1936 - October 29, 2011), a senior actor in Taiwan. His real name is Zhang Xigui. He worked as an apprentice, a drum player in radio station, and a band. Later, he was discovered by Director Wei Yizhou and got the stage name of Kangding. He became a famous comedian in the period of Taiwanese film. At 0:25 a.m. on October 29, 2011, he died of terminal colorectal cancer in Zhenxing hospital, Beitou District, Taipei.

Life figures

Born in 1936 in Lugang, Changhua, he was gifted with acting in his childhood. At the age of 18, he went to Taipei to work hard. First he worked as an apprentice in the bamboo shop of Beitou. Later, he gave up his job in the bamboo shop and joined the band playing Beiguan. At the age of 20, he went to the radio station to play drums for a living. After retiring from the army, he joined the band Jaguar Kang. Later, he was discovered by Director Wei Yizhou and asked him to make a movie. He took the stage name of Kangding and became a famous comedian in the period of Taiwanese film. It is famous with Jintu, tuoxian, Axi, aizicai and Huang Xitian. In his early years, he performed many films, such as neishan girl to get married, and Kangding's visit to Taipei. Kangding's visit to Taipei is his famous work, which is still talked about by the audience. In recent years, he has also participated in summer concertos, and mostly played licorice characters in TV dramas. He has performed brilliantly in Mazu's tour, meeting Alan again, recruits' diaries and night market life. In 2007, he was shortlisted for the Golden Bell award of TV drama as a leading actor. in the middle of August 2011, due to physical discomfort, it was found that it was stage 4 of colorectal cancer after examination, and the operation was performed on August 18. Return home in mid September. After reoperation on October 10, he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Until 0:25 am on October 29, 2011, he died of terminal colorectal cancer in Zhenxing hospital, Beitou District, Taipei city.
