Wu Daiyao was born in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Born in 1919, died in 1997. He studied in Japan in his early years. In 1949, he joined Dongying as a dubbing actor. In 1954, he also served as a Japanese translator. In 1958, he was transferred to director of drama and director of production. In 1979, he was transferred back to work as a dubbing actor and translator for many translated films.
