Early experience
Liming was born in a Hutong in Beijing in 1966. Later, his father Li Xinsheng went to work in Hong Kong. He and his mother stayed in Beijing. In 1970, their family moved to live in Hong Kong. In 1982, after graduating from high school, liming was sent to the British boarding school by his father to continue his study. In 1984, he and the son of a wealthy Malaysian businessman moved out to rent a house together because he couldn't accept the barracks style life of taking baths only twice a week in boarding school. After that, he came back to Hong Kong from England to recuperate due to allergic nose and pollinosis.
Acting experience
In 1986, liming took part in the fifth rookie singing contest, won the third place with absolute emptiness, and officially entered the performing arts circle.
In 1990, he released his first album, Leon, and won the silver award of the top ten Chinese Golden Songs of RTHK.

Film and television
In 1987, liming starred in the first TV series "man is what he is", playing sherson. In 1988, he cooperated with Liu Qingji and Shao Meiqi to play Qin Ao in TVB TV series military power.
In 1989, during the shooting of the TVB TV series the legend of Jin Wengong, liming often caught a cold and fever.
