Zhang Shi'an (1904-1939), formerly known as Zhang Peihua, was born in xujiawa village, Chengguan Town, Changqing County.
Zhang Shi'an (1904-1939), formerly known as Zhang Peihua, was born in xujiawa village, Chengguan Town, Changqing County. He was a former primary school teacher after the July 7th incident. After the incident, he actively participated in the Anti Japanese and national salvation activities and was a member of the Anti Japanese progressive group "Yucai educational supplies cooperative" and "anti enemy support association". He joined the Communist Party of China at the beginning of 1938 and became the director of the Organization Department of Changqing County Party committee in 1939. In September 1939, when Zhang Shi'an was on his way to carry out Anti Japanese work near Changqing County, he met the Japanese army in Xiaotun village of the second district and was unfortunately arrested. In prison, he was awe inspiring and unyielding in the face of severe punishment. He denounced the enemy and wrote slogans such as "down with Japanese imperialism, long live the liberation of the Chinese nation!" on the wall with blood. Soon after, Zhang Shi'an was shot dead by the enemy outside the north gate of the county. He was 35 years old.
