Tu Zhongxun, a famous film director in Taiwan, was born in Xiaogan, Hubei Province. His representative works include ghost pipa, ten days of dragon city and children seeking dreams.

Tu Zhongxun was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province on September 18, 1936. He later settled in Taiwan with Tu Yifang, who was the director of the film censorship Department of the information bureau of the Executive Yuan. Tu Zhongxun graduated from the law department of Tokyo University in Japan. Later, he was the director of the film studio of the information bureau of the executive yuan of Taiwan. He has been the director of dozens of documentaries such as religion in Taiwan. In 1969, he became the director of federal pictures Co., Ltd., mainly making entertainment films. Shooting martial arts films "ten days of dragon city", "gangster", "Assassin" and so on. Among them, "Assassin" won the 13th Golden Horse Award in 1976. Tu Zhongxun directs one play a year on average. He is a low-yield film director. Many people think that he is influenced by Hu Jinquan and is famous for his slow work and meticulous work. In 1980, he signed four film contracts with Hong Kong Jiahe company to prepare for the production of "a certain day in a certain month and a certain year". Unfortunately, he was killed in a traffic accident in Taipei on July 14. After that, Zhang Aijia took over the directing job. Tu Zhongxun's death in the heyday of artistic creation is a great loss to the film industry in Taiwan.
