Liu Peng

Liu Peng, male, Han nationality, was born in September 1951 in Hechuan, Chongqing. He joined the Communist Party of China in May 1979 and began to work in January 1969. He graduated from the Department of mechanical engineering of Chongqing University with a master's degree in solid mechanics.

He once served as deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

From 1991 to 1993, he served as Deputy Secretary of Yibin prefectural Party committee and executive Commissioner of Sichuan Province. From 1993 to 1997, he served as secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League, executive secretary and chairman of the all China Youth Federation (he was definitely a cadre at the level of vice minister in July 1993). from 1997 to 2002, he was Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department and member of the Central Committee for comprehensive management of social security. From 2002 to 2004, he was Deputy Secretary of Sichuan provincial Party committee. from December 2004 to November 2005, he served as director of the State General Administration of sports and Deputy Secretary of the Party group. from November 2005 to October 2016, he served as director of the State General Administration of sports and Secretary of the Party group. from November 2016 to March 2018, he served as deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee. member of the 12th CPPCC National Committee, alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee, member of the 17th and 18th CPC Central Committee.
