Li Zhongxiu
Li Zhongxiu, born in Yi County, Shandong Province in September 1929, was a veteran of the Anti Japanese War and the liberation war, and a retired employee of the No.71 Engineering Office of the third construction company of China coal.
After more than 100 battles, he has bombed two enemy blockhouses, killed, wounded and captured more than 100 enemy troops. He has won two special military exploits, one second-class merit, two third-class merit and one fourth-class merit.
Character experience
In September 1929, Li Zhongxiu was born in a small mountain village in Yi County, Shandong Province. As his family was poor, he had been herding cattle and collecting firewood for the landlord since he was a child.
In 1945, 16-year-old Li Zhongxiu signed up to join the army.
In 1947, before the launching of the Menglianggu campaign, Li Zhongxiu submitted an application to the party organization for joining the party. "I think every battle is a test of my party spirit." During the campaign, he excellently completed the communication support task of the army and was awarded the third class merit once.
In October 1947, Li Zhongxiu officially joined the party. That year, he just turned 18.
In 1956, after being demobilized, Li Zhongxiu became a downhole worker in the 71st Engineering Office of China coal.
In 1958, Li Zhongxiu came to Guanqiao area of Tengxian County, Shandong Province with his team to carry out the construction of Weizhuang inclined shaft project.
In 1965, Li Zhongxiu, as an advance group, went to Shuicheng, Guizhou Province to take charge of the non-staple food warehouse of 12 canteens in the work area.
In 1973, the construction of Huainan Huainan coal base began. Li Zhongxiu moved to Anhui with his unit.

In December 2019, he was selected into the "Anhui good man" list.
