Lin Xiaoqian

Gavin Lin was born on May 4, 1980 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan Province. He is a director, screenwriter and producer in Taiwan, China. He graduated from the Department of foreign languages, Taiwan Jiaotong University, the Institute of Applied Media Art, Taiwan University of Arts, and the Institute of communication studies, Pittsburgh State University.

In 2004, he directed his first short film "freedom Avenue", which won the first prize of golden spike award. In 2010, he directed his first film the little prince on the corner. In 2011, he wrote and directed his own love movie farewell to love, which won the best Mini Drama Award of the 46th Taiwan TV Golden Bell Award. He won the best screenplay award of the 46th Taiwan TV Golden Bell Award for his film. In 2013, he directed the love film "back to the place where love began". In 2016, he directed the romantic comedy "five star dried fish girl". In 2018, he directed the love movie "more sad than sad story".

Acting experience

In 2004, Lin Xiaoqian made his first short film "freedom Avenue" in order to complete his graduation work from the Institute of communication studies of Pittsburgh State University in the United States. The film tells the moving story of a daughter with mental retardation wandering with her mother.
