Ma Jingwu was born in Urumqi. His father is a famous surgeon. He runs a hospital in Urumqi and has a rich family. His father is chivalrous and makes friends all over the world. With the help of his friends, his father fled north with his family and began a seven-year wandering career.

In 1981, he wrote a screenplay "the girl carrying the plate" for the students, and in 1985, he rehearsed the Soviet drama "diplomat's house" (broadcast by CCTV). In 1987, he rehearsed the American drama "smoke and clouds in summer" for students, all of whom were directors. In 1992, he wrote a multi act drama "youth will not wait" for students, and served as a director. In the same year, he changed it to an eight episode TV series, and served as a director. In 1993, he co authored the basic theory of film performing arts and was responsible for the compilation of the whole book.
