Early experience
Tang Zhenzong was born in Lamma Island, Hong Kong. His father runs seafood shops for a living and has eight brothers and sisters. Tang Zhenzong ranks fourth and his brother Tang Zhenye ranks fifth.

Acting experience
In 1982, Tang Zhenzong's first film was "kill out of xiyingpan" by Hong Kong Century film company, which is one of the new wave films in Hong Kong.
