In 1987, 16-year-old Shao Feng took part in his first film, boys and girls, in which he played Zhou Yongnian.
In 1994, 23-year-old Shao Feng graduated from university and made his first TV play "seven heroes and five righteousness", in which he played Yan Renmin.
In 1995, he starred in the ancient costume TV series "Romance of Sui and Tang Dynasties" directed by Zhang Huaxun and played Yang Guang, emperor of Sui Yang. In the same year, he starred in the TV series "Er Da bu you Niang" and played the leading actor Zhang Qingmin.
