Ji Qin, Professor of School of life sciences of Huaiyin Normal University, part-time master supervisor of Nanjing Normal University and part-time graduate supervisor of School of life sciences of Nanjing Agricultural University, graduated from Department of Horticulture of Nanjing Agricultural University in 1982, obtained a master's degree in biotechnology from Wageningen University in June 1994 and a doctor's degree in molecular biology from Wageningen University in June 2004.
Research direction
(1) By using transgenic platform technology, foreign genes can be efficiently expressed and accumulated in starch granules, In the process of starch synthesis, the expressed enzyme protein can directly improve the composition and content of starch effectively, and can finely cut the structure of starch, so as to synthesize new starch, so as to meet the different needs of consumers and different industrial production on the properties of starch. By directly improving the molecular structure of starch through transgenic technology, the original starch denaturation process can be avoided, and the pollution caused by sewage in the process of chemical denaturation can be reduced. (2) by using transgenic platform technology, target medicinal protein genes or vaccine genes are mapped to starch grains, and plant organs with starch as the main storage material, such as potato tuber and sweet potato tuber root, are used as bioreactors to produce edible vaccines, antibodies, drug proteins and polypeptides on a large scale.
