Ma Lan, female, born on April 23, 1962 in Taihu County, Anhui Province, is a performing artist of Huangmei Opera, a national first-class actor and a professor of Shanghai Academy of drama.
In 1980, Ma Lan graduated from Anhui art college and was assigned to work in Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater. In 1982, he played Tang Seng's mother in journey to the West.
