Ma Lin
Ma Lin, born in Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province on February 19, 1980, is a member of the Chinese men's table tennis team and is now the coach of the national table tennis team.
He began to play at the age of 7 in 1986 and entered the provincial sports school in 1990. In 1993, Ma Lin entered Shantou table tennis school. In 1994, at the Guangdong Provincial Games, Ma Lin won three gold medals for Shantou team in singles, doubles and team. Later, 14-year-old Ma Lin won his first men's singles title in the national youth competition. In that game, he was picked up by coach Cai Zhenhua and started his national team career. In 1998, Ma Lin won the men's doubles and men's Team Championships in Asian Championships, and the men's singles Championships in Malaysia and Lebanon. In the 1999 World Table Tennis Championships, world famous players such as Marlene kwardner and Samsonov won the men's singles second place and mixed doubles championship. 2000 World Cup champion. Early experience
Ma Lin was born in Shenhe District of Shenyang on February 19, 1980. Two years after Ma Lin was selected into the Chinese team, his parents were laid off. In order not to affect Ma Lin's training in China, the couple decided to keep him secret for the time being. Ma Lin's parents borrowed tens of thousands of yuan from their relatives and opened a small restaurant in the city. In order to save money, they worked as both the boss and the waiter. Every day they were very tired.
In 1992, a private entrepreneur in Shantou sponsored the establishment of Shantou table tennis school and junior table tennis team. The head coach was Liu Mingshui. The next year, Ma Lin and several other players were introduced to Shantou in the national youth competition. Shantou team also introduced many small players from other parts of the country, including Liu Guozheng, Tan ruiwu, Zhang Yu, Li Chao and Ding Ying.
Coach Liu Mingshui said that the training time of an athlete in Shantou table tennis school is at least seven hours a day, and the amount of training is about one third more than that of athletes in other regions. Ma Lin's training attitude is very serious, especially during the preparation for the Ninth National Games in Guangdong Province, with a large amount of training and a long training time. Ma Lin, who uses the straight board playing method, not only works hard on serving, but also works hard on many balls back and forth, which requires a large range of running, so he works very hard, and breaks a pair of sports shoes in a week.
