Wang Weiping, Chinese, Han nationality, was born in October 1962. He graduated from Suzhou University. He is deputy director of "urbanization research center with Chinese characteristics" of the key research base of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of education, Professor of the school of Sociology of Suzhou University, and distinguished professor of "Changjiang Scholars" of the Ministry of education.
