Characters and deeds
Zuo Yuyin, a retired cadre of Laiyang food factory in Shandong Province, received letters from two daughters who were studying abroad as postdoctoral students. In the letters, they reported their learning situation to their parents respectively: Zuo Wei, the eldest daughter studying in the United States, just won the first place in the college entrance examination; Zuo Yan, the second daughter studying in the Netherlands, won the highest scholarship. They are the only sister postdoctoral students in the history of Peking University and China's higher education.
The eldest daughter goes directly to the first grade of primary school, and the younger daughter goes to primary school at the age of four and a half
Zuo Yuyin's eldest daughter is Zuo Wei, and her youngest daughter is Zuo Yan. Zuo Wei was born in 1971. Zuo Yan was two years younger than Zuo Wei and was born in 1973. When the children were young, Zuo Yu Yin was in the army. He started in Laiyang and later transferred to Wendeng. Though not too far away, he could not come back very often. Therefore, the task of caring for and educating the two daughters falls on his wife, Chen Ruihua. Chen Ruihua takes care of the housework while working. She teaches her daughter to recite nursery rhymes and count every night Soon, both children could recite more than a dozen nursery rhymes and Tang poems, far more than their peers. Others all praise Chen Ruihua for his good way of educating children. By chance, Chen Ruihua finds that Zuo Wei is very interested in the old newspaper pasted on the wall by his grandmother's house. He often pesters adults to ask what it is. Chen Ruihua has a flash in his mind. Why not use the children's thirst for knowledge to develop their intelligence? Zuo Wei was 4 years old and Zuo Yan was 2 years old. Chen Ruihua taught Zuo Wei Pinyin and memorized Xiaojiu. It turns out that Zuo Wei has made rapid progress. To the later addition and subtraction, Zuo Wei can understand and write the answer accurately. The beginning of learning is interest, and after becoming a normal task, Zuo Wei can't stand it. Chen Ruihua asked him to do several questions every night. If he couldn't finish them, he was not allowed to sleep. If he made a mistake, he would be punished to do a few more questions. Her daughter pursed her lips and said that her mother bullied others. Chen Ruihua's seriousness was not like playing. She learned Pinyin every night and recited Xiaojiu. She had developed a good study habit since childhood. In his daily life, Chen Ruihua pays attention to the visualized "education" of his two daughters anytime and anywhere. After eating watermelon and cutting a few pieces, a few people eat with a few pairs of chopsticks, and a few cars drive on the road, Zuo Wei and Zuo Yan feel very fresh and unconsciously learn mathematics. In 1978, it was time for Zuo Wei to go to primary school. The enrollment teacher randomly tested Zuo Wei. As a result, Zuo Wei's knowledge level was far beyond the expectation of the enrollment teacher. According to Zuo Wei's intelligence level, he can directly enter the second grade and cut in classes instead of the first grade. At this time, Chen Ruihua devoted himself to teaching his second daughter Zuo Yan. She taught Zuo Yan the first grade of primary school and found that Zuo Yan was very good at it. Chen Ruihua tries to give Zuo Yan the test paper from the school, and the result is much higher than that of the first grade students who are three or four years older than her. Even Chen Ruihua can't help but be surprised. The elder sister carries the schoolbag to go to school, but is anxious to get along with the younger sister Zuo Yan day and night. At that time, Zuo Yan was 4 and a half years old and was pestering his mother to go to school. Chen Ruihua thought that her daughter was just talking and didn't pay attention to it. At last, she let her daughter get entangled and led her to school. Chen Ruihua told her that if she was not obedient, the teacher would not let her come. Zuo Yan had no table at that time, but moved a small stool to sit in the front of the classroom. On his first day home from school, Chen Ruihua asked Zuo Yan if he would go to school tomorrow. Xiao Zuo Yan nodded. Zuo Wei and his younger sister are in a school. They call Zuo Yan to go out to play during recess. Zuo Yan will not go out for fear that the teacher will say she is not obedient and won't let her come to school. After a while, Zuo Yan was no worse than other "college students". Chen Ruihua bought her textbooks and schoolbags. Zuo Yan became a real freshman. The headmaster told Chen Ruihua that your two daughters are really good. Chen didn't believe it until he read his daughter's report card. In the evening, Chen Ruihua told his two daughters that they should not be proud and study hard to be admitted to Peking University as a scientist. Chen Ruihua never thought that a sentence of that year had affected the lives of her two daughters. They were both admitted to Peking University as doctoral candidates.
To give her daughter the greatest confidence and encouragement, we should be good at persuasion and teaching according to people
When Zuo Wei and Zuo Yan were in junior high school, Zuo Yuyin had already transferred from the army to work in Laiyang food factory. When the family settled down, the couple paid more attention to the education of their two daughters. Chen Ruihua is responsible for tutoring her daughter in arts, and Zuo Yuyin is responsible for tutoring her daughter in science. Because of the clear division of labor, the academic achievements of the two children have risen rapidly. There is no better daughter than mother. Chen Ruihua is very clear about the progress of her two daughters. She teaches them separately according to their different characteristics. The eldest daughter Zuo Wei has been doing well, but sometimes she is not solid and often makes some small mistakes. Sometimes the exam results are not ideal, Chen Ruihua does not criticize her, but patiently helps Zuo Wei analyze the reasons and find out the shortcomings. Every time Chen Ruihua said that, Zuo Wei's achievements went up. Several times later, Zuo Wei's performance stabilized. On the contrary, Zuoyan's sister is a solid learner, but sometimes she doesn't have much confidence in herself. Zuo Yan's English is very good, the school is going to recommend her to participate in the provincial English competition. But Zuo Yan was a little scared when he thought of the provincial competition. When Chen Ruihua learned of this situation, she asked her daughter to speak to the teacher. Before each class, she set aside five minutes for her to speak English on the platform. The teacher agreed. When he came to Yantai to participate in the competition, he saw that other people's equipment and teachers were better than his own school. Zuo Yan didn't feel sure. When he went home, he told Chen Ruihua, "Mom, we can't do it at all. The conditions are too bad." Chen Ruihua said to her daughter, "you can do it. Good or bad conditions are only one aspect. You should have full confidence in yourself." At the end of the game, Zuo Yan came first. Chen Ruihua teased her deliberately: "don't you say our conditions are poor?" Zuo Yan embarrassed to say: "Mom, don't mention it." Although Chen Ruihua and his wife pay close attention to their daughter's study, they don't want them to read books behind closed doors. They let them watch half an hour's news programs every night and subscribe to newspapers and magazines for them, so as to increase their knowledge. Under the instruction of his mother, Zuo Wei and Zuo Yan made great progress in their studies. In 1988, Zuo Wei was admitted to Weifang Medical College. A year later, Zuo Yan was admitted to the PLA Foreign Language College with the first grade in Science in Yantai and the second in the province. After their children are admitted to university, they need a lot of tuition. Chen Ruihua and Zuo Yuyin's work is not efficient. In order to support their daughters to go to university, the old couple opened a canteen.
Both sisters entered Peking University and graduated from abroad for further study
Zuo Yan is in the PLA Foreign Language College and always comes first in the examination every year. Zuo Yan passed the CET-8 test with the second grade in the college. She was only 19 that year. In 1993, Zuo Yan graduated, and the problem of distribution is imminent. At this time, the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the general staff came to the college to select graduates, and Zuo Yan was selected as the only candidate. In the eyes of many people, it's a good opportunity to go to the foreign affairs department. But Zuo Yan insists on applying to stay in the college for postgraduate entrance examination. Parents voted for their daughter's choice. In 1993, Zuo Yan got a master's degree with 411 points, and set the highest record of postgraduate entrance examination. Zuo Yuyin and Chen Ruihua are mentally prepared for Zuo Yan's postgraduate entrance examination. Their eldest daughter Zuo Wei's admission to Nanjing Medical University gave them a surprise. All medical schools have a five-year system. Zuo Wei and Zuo Yan graduated from university in the same year. When her younger sister was taking the postgraduate examination, Zuo Wei also revealed to Chen Ruihua that she wanted to take the postgraduate examination, but Chen Ruihua told her that her younger sister had decided to take the postgraduate examination, and her parents were getting older and older. She wanted to keep a daughter by her side. Now that she graduated from University, she wanted to find a place nearby
