As Shaohua's sister Liu Siqi is the wife of Mao Anqing's brother Mao anying, she met Mao anqing when Shaohua was a child. Shao Hua once said, "I've always been Mao Anqing's little sister. At first, I looked at him as my brother, but at last, I came to this stage. At that time, I felt that when I was growing up in the Soviet Union, I was used to walking on the street with two people in one coat.
In 1959, Mao anqing came to Dalian Nanshan hotel to recuperate after treatment in the Soviet Union. At that time, Mao anying had already died in the Korean battlefield. According to Zhang Shibao, former director of the Security Department of Dalian Public Security Bureau, Mao's mother-in-law Zhang Wenqiu intended to renew her relationship with Mao Zedong, so she took advantage of the winter vacation of Shaohua (formerly known as Zhang Shaohua), the younger sister of Mao anying's wife Liu Songlin, and took her to Dalian for recuperation, which was "somewhat like a blind date".
Never thought, Mao Anqing and Shaohua at first sight, talk is speculation. Since then, the two Hongyan frequent biography. When Mao Zedong learned about this, he wrote to Mao anqing: "I'm very glad to hear that your illness has improved a lot. We should still listen to the opinions of the doctor and other comrades who help you, so as to have a good life and rest, so as to seek complete recovery. Don't be impatient. Your sister-in-law Siqi and her sister Shaohua come to see you. They are very concerned about your illness. You should receive them well. It's said that you've communicated a lot with Shaohua, haven't you? Do you mean to be friends? Shaohua is a good child. You can have a good talk with her.
Later, according to the wishes of the elderly on both sides, the municipal Party committee specially arranged for Shaohua, who was studying in Peking University, to transfer to Liaoning Normal University for temporary study. On the one hand, the study here was relatively relaxed, and on the other hand, Shaohua could spend more time with Mao Anqing.
