Early experience

In 1972, Liu linian joined the song and dance troupe.

In 1980, he was transferred to Bayi film studio.

He moved to Toronto, Canada in 1989.

Acting experience

He once shot a short film supervised by Oliver Stone in Hollywood, and wrote, directed and acted in the film strange talk. As Jiang Wen's best friend and think tank, he participated in the script creation of each of Jiang Wen's films.

The films include "Furong Town", "full moon Britain", "heroes of heaven and earth", "the sun also rises" and so on.

In 2014 Jiang Wen's New Year blockbuster "one step away", he played a marshal.
