Early experience

Li Yong was born and raised in Xinjiang, so he always filled in Xinjiang when he filled in his native place. In 1987, Li Yong left Xinjiang and came to Beijing.

In 1991, in the second semester of his senior year, Li Yong was assigned to CCTV as an intern. At the end of the internship, CCTV began to recruit announcers for its major counterpart colleges, and Li Yong was the only announcer in CCTV.
