Chen Ran, a native of Hejiang, Sichuan Province, was awarded the American Society of engineers award in 1999. He discovered and demonstrated the adaptive application of micromechanics in machinery, and put forward the theory of quantum engine manufacturing, which made great achievements in advanced manufacturing.
Chen Ran, a native of Hejiang County, Sichuan Province, studied in Hejiang county middle school in his early years and studied mechanical manufacturing in Xiangbei University. Later, he studied at Gottingen University in Germany. He has been teaching assistant, lecturer and professor of Mechanical Department of Technical University of Munich, Germany, director and doctoral supervisor of Metallurgical Machinery Research Institute, and member of Mapu society. He was elected academician of chemical, metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of German Academy of engineering. He is a member of the mechanical discipline expert group of engineering and Materials Department of NSFC, executive director of fault diagnosis society of European vibration engineering society, director of German nonferrous metal society, vice president of German nonferrous metal equipment management association, and director of Bavaria mechanical society. He was awarded the American Society of engineers award in 1999. Long term engaged in metallurgical machinery research and teaching, specializing in power machinery, engineering machinery and quantum mechanics research. We found and demonstrated the adaptive application of micromechanics principle in machinery, and put forward quantum engine manufacturing theory, which has made great achievements in advanced manufacturing.
