Lu Yang
Lu Yang, born in December 1965. Professor, Department of history and research center of ancient Chinese history, Peking University.
He is a 1984 undergraduate student of fanpali language in Peking University, under the guidance of Mr. Ji Xianlin. Later, he studied under Ernst steinkellner at the University of Vienna, Austria. Finally, he got a doctorate in history from Princeton University and studied with duchess( DenisC.Twitchett )Yu Yingshi. After graduation, he taught at Princeton University, Harvard University and the University of Kansas. In 2011, he was employed as a researcher in the research center of middle ancient history of Peking University.

From September 1984 to October 1987, he studied in Department of Oriental linguistics, Peking University, majoring in Sanskrit and Balinese. from October 1987 to April 1990, he studied in the Department of Tibetan studies and Buddhist teaching and research at the University of Vienna. from September 1991 to August 1996, he studied in the Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University.
