Luo Siwei

Luo Siwei, male, graduated from the University of science and technology of China in 1967. After the reform and opening up, he was sent abroad to study and obtained a doctor's degree in computer science. He is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of Beijing Jiaotong University, and the head of computer science of Binhai College of Beijing Jiaotong University. He was the director of the Department of computer science and technology of Beijing Jiaotong University.

Director of China Software Industry Association. He graduated from the Department of radio electronics, University of science and technology of China in 1967. He has worked in the Department of computer science and technology of North Jiaotong University since 1974. from December 1982 to December 1984, he was sent by the state government to study in the information engineering discipline of the Engineering Department of qunma University, Japan, and engaged in the research of computer parallel processing. The guiding professor is Zeng and Jiangrong (currently professor of Tokyo Electric and Communication University). An 8-bit microcomputer with Chinese characters was developed in 1983. A commercial artificial neural network simulation program is completed. from August 1987 to October 1988, he was sent by the Ministry of Railways to Oki Integrated System Research Institute in Japan to engage in artificial neural network research. in 1996, as a senior visiting scholar of national public school, he visited Tokyo Electric and Communication University for half a year. In 1993, he presided over and completed the project "neural network synchronous parallel computer" supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. in September 1995, as the organizer, the International Conference on modern parallel processing technology (appt'95) was successfully held, which was funded and guided by NSFC. in September 1997, the International Conference on modern parallel processing technology (appt'97) was held in cooperation with koplenz University in Germany. from 2000 to 2002, he presided over the project of "knowledge proliferative artificial neural network parallel model" supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China.

The main research direction is artificial neural network, computer parallel processing, multimedia computer technology.

Main contributions

He has published 128 papers, 4 books and 11 translated works, obtained 4 national patents, completed 2 national scientific research projects, 4 provincial and ministerial projects and 20 other projects. His work "the construction of artificial neural network" won the second prize of excellent teaching materials of the Ministry of railways, and was rated as excellent teacher in Beijing in 1997. During his study in Japan, under the guidance of Professor Nakano Kangming of Xinzhou University, he passed the defense of his doctoral dissertation and obtained a doctor's degree in computer science. During his study in Japan, he wrote five papers, two of which were published in the Journal of NIPA, one in the academic conference of NIPA, and the other two in the international conference.
