Huo Meng, born in Taikang County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province on June 25, 1984, is a male director, screenwriter and producer in mainland China. He graduated from Communication University of China, majoring in law.
In 2015, he directed his first film "my friends". In 2018, with the family film "pass Zhaoguan", he won the most popular director award of the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival and the best director award of the 2nd Pingyao International Film Exhibition. On August 16, 2019, the family movie "our forty years" directed by him will be released.
In October 2019, Huo Meng's film "crossing Zhaoguan" was shortlisted as the best director candidate. In September 2020, Huo Meng won the annual young director award of the 11th China Film Directors Association's 2019 annual commendation Conference for his "crossing Zhaoguan".
Acting experience
In 2002, Huo Meng was admitted to Communication University of China as a law major. In 2015, he directed his first film "my fox friends", which tells the story of four "Fox friends" who were forced to start an irresponsible "escape" journey when they were attacked by violent gangs, tough and virtuous inside and outside.
In 2018, he co directed the short film "the most beautiful performance in 2018" with Qin Hailu, Dafei, etc.; in the same year, he directed the family film "Guo Zhaoguan", CO starred by Yang Taiyi and Li Yunhu. With this film, he won the film channel media award of the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival, the most media attention director award, and the Fei Mu honor best director award of the 2nd Pingyao International Film Exhibition.
On August 16, 2019, the family movie "our forty years", CO directed by Li Yixiang, Bao Zhenjiang and Li Zhenwei, was released. The film shows the changes of Henan's reform and opening up in the past 40 years from the perspective of ordinary people.
