Yang Dongsheng

Yang Dongsheng, born in Wuchuan City, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is a director in mainland China and graduated from the Philosophy Department of Sun Yat sen University.

At present, he is director of CCTV, director, producer and senior director of art program center of CCTV. He has been the chief director of CCTV Spring Festival gala for three times.

Personal experience

In 1991, Yang Dongsheng began to participate in the creation of the Spring Festival Gala, and successively worked as a director, song and dance director, executive director and so on.

In 2000, he was the chief director of the National Day special evening "lovely China" and the director of the 2003 Spring Festival song and dance evening "prosperous China".

In 2017, he was the chief director of CCTV Spring Festival Gala and Lantern Festival Gala. He and Yin Yongbin co directed CCTV's June 1 Gala in 2017, becoming the first director of CCTV's two major comprehensive galas (Spring Festival Gala and June 1 Gala).

In 2018, he was reelected as the chief director of CCTV Spring Festival Gala and Lantern Festival Gala.

In 2019, together with Xing Shimiao, he served as the chief director of "Asian civilization conference · Asian Culture Carnival".

In 2020, Yang Dongsheng will be the chief director of the 2020 Spring Festival Gala of CCTV for the third time. In the same year, Yang Dongsheng served as the chief director of "CCTV 2020 Lantern Festival special program". In the same year, Yang Dongsheng was the chief director of the large symphony concert "the Yellow River into the sea".

In 2000, Yang Dongsheng's National Day special evening "lovely China" won the best director award of the 19th Golden Eagle Festival. In the same year, Yang Dongsheng's mtv "happy forever" won the best work, best editing, best director and the second prize of Starlight Award in the MTV exhibition of Chinese art songs held by China Music Association and TV Association.

In 2001, Yang Dongsheng's music TV work "hometown beauty" won the best video award of CCTV and Channell Music Festival;

In 2002, he directed the Spring Festival song and Dance Gala and won the first prize of Starlight Award.
