Li Quan
Li Quan (1912 - December 4, 1968), the founding major general of the people's Republic of China, was born in Ji'an County, Jiangxi Province. He joined the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army in 1930 and transferred from the Communist Party of China to the Communist Party of China in the same year. He participated in the agrarian revolution, the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation.
He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955. On December 4, 1968, he died at the age of 56.
