Guanshan Lake District
Guanshanhu district belongs to Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northwest of Guiyang City, with Qianling mountains in the East, Mawangmiao area in Sanqiao in the south, Qingzhen City in the West and Baiyun District in the north. The main scenic spots in Guanshan Lake area are Baihua Lake scenic spot, Guanshan Lake Park, etc.
As of May 2020, guanshanhu district has a total area of 307 square kilometers, built-up area of 64.5 square kilometers, urbanization rate of 85.4%, under the jurisdiction of 3 towns, 7 streets, 49 administrative villages, 84 neighborhood committees, the total resident population of more than 500000.
In October 2018, it was selected into the "top 100 investment potential areas in China in 2018". On October 9, 2020, it was named as the fourth batch of practice and innovation bases of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" by the Ministry of ecological environment.
Evolution of organizational system
At the beginning of 2000, Guiyang municipal Party committee and government decided to build a new urban area in Jinhua and Yangguan in the northwest of the old urban area in order to alleviate the congestion in the old urban area and expand the urban development space.
On April 14, 2000, Guiyang municipal Party committee established a leading group for the development and construction of Jinyang New District in Guiyang City, and included some areas of Yeya Township, Jinhua Town, Zhuchang town in Wudang district and Maijia Township in Baiyun District into the planning scope of the new district.
On November 29, 2001, the general office of Guiyang Municipal People's government made clear the internal structure, functions and responsibilities, and staffing of the construction management committee and its office of Guiyang Jinyang New Area.
In 2006, with the consent of Guizhou Provincial People's government, Yeya township was abolished and Jinyang street was established. On July 19, 2006, Jinyang sub district office of Guiyang National High tech Industrial Development Zone was officially established.
In 2008, Guiyang municipal Party committee and government transferred the Jinyang sub district office of Guiyang National High tech Industrial Development Zone to the Management Committee of Jinyang New Area.
On May 26, 2008, the overall construction system of Jinyang sub district office was transferred to the Management Committee of Jinyang New District.
On September 27, 2008, the general office of Guiyang municipal Party committee and the general office of Guiyang municipal government made clear the functions, responsibilities, internal institutions and staffing of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Jinyang New District, Guiyang city.
On November 21, 2008, Guiyang municipal Party committee and government transferred Jinhua Town and Zhuchang town of Wudang District to Jinyang New Area Management Committee.
On November 15, 2012, the State Council approved the establishment of guanshanhu district on the basis of the original Jinyang New District, which has jurisdiction over Jinyang sub district office of Wudang District, Jinhua Town, Zhuchang town and baihuahu township of Qingzhen City.
On December 21, 2012, Guanshan Lake District was established. (in order to avoid the same name as Jinyang County in Sichuan Province, the new district was named after the landmark of Guanshan lake.)
On July 3, 2017, the people's Government of Guizhou Province officially issued the reply of the provincial people's Government on agreeing to cancel the establishment of baihuahu town in baihuahu township of Guanshan Lake District (QFH [2017] No. 143), agreeing to cancel the establishment of baihuahu town in baihuahu township of Guanshan Lake District, taking the administrative region of baihuahu township as the administrative region of baihuahu Town, and the people's Government of baihuahu town is located in baihuahu village.
As of July 3, 2017, guanshanhu district has jurisdiction over three towns: baihuahu Town, Jinhua Town and Zhuchang Town, nine community service centers, 49 administrative villages and 59 communities.
In January 2020, 10 community service centers including Bihai, Century City, new world, Yijing, Jinhua garden, Jinyuan, Jinmai, exhibition, Jinling and Guanshan will be abolished, and 7 sub district offices including Binyang, Guanshan, Yuntan, Changling, Jinhua garden, Jinyang and century city will be set up.

In Guanshan Lake area, there are "two lakes and one reservoir": Guanshan lake, Jinhua lake and shiertan reservoir. The total area of Jinhua lake is more than 200000 square meters. Guanshan lake was originally called Guanshan reservoir, with a capacity of 150000 cubic meters. The accumulated rainfall area of shiertan reservoir is 3.75 square kilometers, the water area is 162000 square meters, and the effective storage capacity is 360000 cubic meters.

There are still a few protected animals in Guanshan Lake area. There are: giant salamander, mandarin duck, red bellied pheasant, pangolin, myna (Wren), forest musk deer and a variety of snakes and lizards.
