Li Xiaotong graduated from Beijing Medical University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in medicine. Since then, she has been working in the clinical treatment, scientific research and teaching of Orthodontics and accumulated rich experience. From 1993 to 1995, he was a resident of Orthodontics Department of Stomatology Hospital of Beijing Medical University. From 1995 to 2000, he studied in school of Stomatology of Peking University and obtained a doctor's degree. Since his graduation, he has been working in orthodontics Department of Stomatology Hospital of Peking University and was promoted to deputy chief physician and associate professor in 2005.
Personal experience
From September 2000 to August 2002, postdoctoral research was carried out in Showa University and Matsumoto University of dentistry in Japan. The ability of orthodontic clinical and scientific research was further improved. He has successively participated in a number of scientific research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China and the key project plan of the Ministry of science and technology, and won one scientific research fund of School of Stomatology, Peking University and one new technology and new therapy fund.
Research direction
1. Comprehensive orthodontic treatment for all kinds of malocclusion;
2. Early treatment and two-stage treatment of class II and class III skeletal malocclusion;
3. Comprehensive orthodontic treatment for adults, such as orthodontics before restoration, orthodontics for periodontal disease patients, orthodontics combined with orthodontics;
4. Using segmental arch and combined arch wire technology to improve the efficiency of tooth movement
5. Long term effect of malocclusion correction
6. Study on biological characteristics of orthodontic tooth movement and the basis of bone metabolism;
Participating works
As the first author, he has published more than 20 papers in domestic and foreign journals, including 2 papers included in SCI. He is the editor in chief of "common arch wire bending technology in orthodontic treatment" (2010), and vice editor in chief of "analysis of difficult orthodontic cases" (1997, edited by Zhang Ding), and has participated in the compilation and translation of many professional works. In 1994, orthodontics was founded and began to participate in the work of the journal. He is also responsible for the Chinese Journal of Orthodontics, a member of the Chinese Stomatological Association, and a member of the Orthodontic Society of the Chinese Stomatological Association.
